Alex Hales picks his semi-finalists for the T20 World Cup 2022

Notably, 16 teams are taking part in the global showpiece event, which will conclude on November 13. There is no doubt that the competition will be at the top level, with only four teams making it to the semi-finals. Final.

Meanwhile, Hales has picked his team England as the top four teams in the multi-team event along with Rohit Sharma’s India, Babar Azam-led Pakistan and Aaron Finch’s Australia.

Notably, Aussies are the defending champions, while England were knocked out after losing to runners-up New Zealand in the semi-finals of last year’s T20 World Cup. Pakistan was also knocked out by Australia in the semi-final itself. India, on the other hand, had a terrible tournament as they failed to go past the Super 12s after losing to Pakistan and the Black Caps initially.

In a funny video shared by Pakistan Cricket on its official Twitter handle, Hales made his choice while speaking in a rapid-fire round.

Hales made his international return for England in the recently concluded opening T20I of the ongoing seven-match series against hosts Pakistan. The right-handed batsman scored 53 off 40 balls with the willow, his ninth T20I half-century, which included seven fours, to help England chase down 159 with four balls to spare.
