India’s inability to win International Cricket Council (ICC) events has been a major talking point over the years. India’s veteran off-spinner discussed the team’s impotence in winning ICC events on his official YouTube channel. Ravichandran Ashwin supported Virat Kohli And Rohit Sharma, The 36-year-old termed the criticism on not winning the World Cup or any other major ICC competition as unfair, and even questioned the critics citing the example of Mahan. “Sachin Tendulkar also won the World Cup in his sixth attempt. Such was the situation for a stalwart of Indian cricket. Just because another stalwart in MS Dhoni came and won the World Cup as soon as he took over, doesn’t mean it will happen for everyone, does it? Ashwin said.
Notably, India currently has three World Cups in its cabinet along with the ICC Champions Trophy, and three of those four titles came under Dhoni’s leadership.
Ashwin also said that both Virat and Rohit have won some major ICC tournaments and should be given some more time.

The Men in Blue last won a World Cup tournament on home soil in 2011, and have a chance to repeat the triumph once again as India host an ODI World Cup event in October-November this year.
