Sunil Philip Narine Was born on 26 May 1988 in Trinidad and Tobago.
His father named him Sunil after being inspired by the great Indian batsman Sunil Gavaskar,

He made his first-class debut for Trinidad and Tobago in February 2009 and made his List A debut in the Regional Super 50 in October 2011.
