Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay is prepared to pursue a fresh challenge from the club this summer.
The Scotland international started the campaign as a regular starter but over the past few months, he has been a frequent member on the bench.
Casemiro has been the undisputed starter in the number six role when available while Christian Eriksen and Fred have also been picked over McTominay.
Marcel Sabitzer has been added to provide competition since January and there are suggestions that his loan deal could be turned into a permanent one.
Amidst this, it is reported that McTominay is frustrated over his situation and could push for an exit if United pursue another marquee midfielder.
McTominay has been on the radar of Newcastle United over the last few months and they are widely expected to make a summer move.
The Magpies are aiming to add more solidity in their midfield and consider McTominay as a potential companion for Bruno Guimaraes.
