Every Broncos coaching candidate had to present a plan to “fix” Russell Wilson this offense. In 2022, Wilson produced career lows in passing touchdowns, completion percentage and QBR, as well as a career-high in sacks. Wilson made too many head-scratching throws in coverage, held the ball too long, and looked poor in the Broncos system under Nathaniel Hackett.
The (supposedly) best coach to help him would have to be Sean Payton, who helped Hall of Fame-bound quarterback Drew Brees put up historic passing numbers. Could this be the turnaround Wilson needs? It remains to be seen.
