If Shaquille Leonard can return this week, he will be sorely needed against Kansas City this week. This unit has been one of the only bright spots on this defense, allowing only 2.7 yards per carry, which is the second highest in the NFL.
He would go up against Clyde Edwards-Heller, who is second in the NFL with 7.7 yards per run. Young running backs have great playing ability and can be an issue for the Colts if they can’t stop runs. He has also been used more in the passing game this year, with a total of seven catches for 76 yards and 2 touchdowns. He’s a guy to keep an eye on Gus Bradley.
Second place for Indy’s linebackers to really prove themselves will be in the passing game, which will include All-Pro tight end Travis Kells. As one, if not the best of the league, he is a force to be reckoned with for any opposing defense and can be the difference maker in such matchups. Watch Leonard, Bobby Okereke, and Zaire Franklin cover the keels while Safari walks in as well.
