After a long absence from free-agent signings, the Tennessee Titans were back on board on Friday, albeit with some minor moves.
The team also announced a pair of signings in offensive lineman Corey Levine and tight end Trayvon Vesco, both of whom were signed to one-year deals. Levin vet is for the minimum, per Justin Mello of Draft Network,
Levine is an excellent re-signing for Tennessee. At least he’s going to provide solid, reliable and versatile depth. At best, he could challenge for the starting spot at both guard and center, the latter of which he did well last season in place of Ben Jones.
As far as Vesco is concerned, he is not going to help in the passing attack but he is a good blocker. He will fight for a depth spot behind Chig Okonkwo.
Now, let’s take a look at how Titans fans and the media reacted to both moves.
Two # titans Transex:
– Versatile OL Corey Levine re-signed. The 2016 sixth pick started 3 games at C last year after Jones was injured.
-TE Trayvon Vesco (6-3, 267 lbs) signed. Has played 4 NFL seasons, 3 w/Jets and 1 w/Bears. Good run-blocker, averages around 180. Snap per year.— John Glennon (@glennonsports) March 31, 2023
I’m getting 2014 vibes. # titans Fans convincing themselves that re-signing Corey Levine is the answer is… amazing.

Corey Levine back again! and a TE with 8 career catches

Levine is a great IOL depth and Brewer, could compete with JA at LG/C. Jones + draft pick.
WR is still the biggest need, but the dual-threat TE is not far behind.

Among TEs who have reached the 100-snap limit, Trayvon Vesco ranks 6th in run blocking grade and 8th in pass blocking grade in 2022. He is not a pass catcher. Think of him as the new Craig Stevens.

Trayvon Vesco Could Make A Big Difference For # titans First and second down offense. He would be a major asset on outside zone runs and as a blocker on some of the play-action shot concepts, two staple early down calls for Tennessee during the Verrabel era.
