Michael Thomas looks great and 5 more things to learn from Saints training camp

You can feel the anticipation as Thomas Camp stands away from star, cornerback Paulson Adebo. The fans cheered on Thomas before rep, but the explosion as he broke his way to the outside and made a sideline catch behind the end zone, was unmatched.

To rep, Thomas pushed the field uphill and in, broke and turned outside, running for the rear pylon. A perfectly placed pass by Jameis Winston allows the receiver to maximize the separation created at the best corner of camp.

On top of the promising nature of Thomas’ belief in his own body, with violent cuts and smooth passages, the relationship between him and Winston is of the utmost importance. The two haven’t seen game action together since Drew Brees was injured for half of Winston’s 2020 game against the San Francisco 49ers. Seeing them on the same page this early on is critical to their success in 2022.
