As we continue to wait on any news of a potential contract extension between the Tennessee Titans and defensive lineman Jeffrey Simmons, his agent Paul DeRoussel posted a cryptic video to social media on Friday.
The tweet accompanying the video includes a clock emoji, and it features DeRussell talking about his client, saying, “I can say this with complete confidence: Our window has clearly been Jeff’s entire career — and I am proud of that.” But I stand.”
To be quite honest, I don’t know how to interpret it, if it should be interpreted at all.
What we do know is that there is no indication that the two sides have agreed to a contract. Justin Mello of Music City Miracles In the wake of the video, it was reported that talks were underway between Simmons and the Titans.

It’s the latest in the Simmons contract saga and the first thing we’ve seen of him since deleting all mention of the Titans on Instagram earlier this month.
While there is rightly concern about his future with the Titans, the team has some time to make do, with Simmons’ contract up for another year with a fifth-year option.
However, he has made it clear that he would prefer a new deal before he is on the field in 2023.
Barring the Titans doing a complete rebuild or making outrageous contract demands to Simmons, I believe Tennessee will retain the star defensive lineman for a long time.
